Making POSITIVE CONFESSIONS
~~ Is this a “Biblical” concept? ~~
INTRODUCTION
Here are a few verses to affirm that this is, in fact, a Biblical concept.
Proverbs 10:11, NIV -- “The mouth of the righteous is a fountain of life....”
Proverbs 10:19, NIV -- “When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.”
Proverbs 10:20, NIV -- “The tongue of the righteous is choice silver....”
Proverbs 10:21, NIV -- “The lips of the righteous nourish many....”
Proverbs 12:14, NIV -- “From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him.”
Proverbs 13:2-3, NIV -- “From the fruit of his lips a man enjoys good things, but the unfaithful have a craving for violence. (v3) He who guards his lips guards his life, but he who speaks rashly will come to ruin.”
Proverbs 18:4, NLT -- “A person's words can be life-giving water; words of true wisdom are as refreshing as a bubbling brook.”
Proverbs 18:21, NLT -- “Those who love to talk will experience the consequences, for the tongue can kill or nourish life.”
Job 22:28, NKJV -- “You will also declare a thing, And it will be established for you; So light will shine on your ways.”
Note what God says to Joshua in Joshua 1:8, NIV --
“Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.”
Pay close attention to this word “meditate” as it is broken down here in its original Hebrew wording. It can be found in the Strong's Exhaustive Concordance as follows:
Meditate – (Hebrew) hagah (daw-gaw'); OT:1897a primitive root [compare OT:1901]; to murmur (in pleasure or anger); by implication, to ponder.
Its uses in the KJV include -- imagine, meditate, mourn, mutter, roar, sore, speak, study, talk, utter.

The Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament gives this information about this word “hagah” -- utter, mutter, moan (from Theological Wordbook of the Old Testament. Copyright (c) 1980 by The Moody Bible Institute of Chicago. All rights reserved. Used by permission.).
Therefore, God was actually saying to Joshua:
“If you will SPEAK (mutter and utter) My Word to yourself AND to your circumstances then YOU will make YOUR OWN WAY prosperous.”
The Tower Of Babel
A People Speaking THE SAME Thing!
Note in Genesis 11 what the scriptures tell us about the people of Babel -- “AND THE whole earth was of one language and of one accent and mode of expression” (v.1, AMP).
The King James Version states they were, “...of one language, and of one speech.”
These people were WAY BEYOND just speaking the same language. They were speaking THE SAME THING! These people eventually framed the same thought / vision in their hearts that they would BUILD A TOWER to heaven itself. God came down to evaluate what they were doing.
This is what God said:
“And the Lord said, ‘Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do’” (Genesis 11:6, KJV).
Here is the Hodge's translation of this verse -- “God said, 'These people have one heart and one mind – all the way to the point that they are SPEAKING the same thing – because they have tapped into this creative force nothing will be held back – anything they imagine – they CAN and WILL do!'”
I believe God was acknowledging a principle He made into the spiritual DNA of mankind. I believe this has been a principle that most corporate bodies of believers have largely left untapped.
It is my prayer that we, the people of Crossroads World Outreach Center, would plug into this spiritual force of CONFESSION, as it is found in the Word of God, and see the name of Jesus glorified through a body of people who MANIFEST His Kingdom in the Earth.

We decree and declare that today no weapon formed against us shall prosper, because Jesus has revealed himself to us as Jehovah-Nissi: the Lord our Banner and our Victory.
We decree and declare that through the people of CWOC, the media ministries of CWOC, the outreaches of CWOC, and every endeavor of CWOC that the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ will be exemplified.
We decree and declare that we are debt free. We do not lack. We do not maintain. Our cups are RUNNING OVER. Every aspect of our lives shall be inundated by the OVERFLOW anointing of God! We decree and declare that the corporate finances and our individual finances will operate in the overflow anointing.
We decree and declare that we shall own and occupy buildings and land that will facilitate our vision for the Columbia Metro area.
We decree and declare that we are healed of the Lord in spirit, soul, and body.
We decree and declare that Jesus was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him – AND – BY HIS STRIPES WE ARE HEALED. Disease has NO place in our bodies. Sickness shall not trespass. Disorders are ORDERED TO LEAVE. The anointing of our God restores broken hearts and wounded minds! Healing – come forth!
We decree and declare spontaneous, exponential promotion from God. Same-day-fame: come forth!
We decree and declare that BECAUSE OF JESUS, we have been made the righteousness of God. Because of this, we have entered into NEW DIMENSIONS of BLESSINGS and FAVOR.
We decree and declare the fulfillment of dreams, visions, and prophecies.
We decree and declare that we are a vibrant part of the army of the living God -- holy, pleasing, equipped, prepared, and destined to complete our assignment, corporately and individually.
We decree and declare that we will no longer birth and produce out of pain, but we will birth and produce out of praise.
We decree and declare that we will not be moved by our circumstances, but we will remember that this is the day that the LORD has made, and we will rejoice and be glad in it.
We decree and declare that when we praise, these things are released on our behalf: the ability to break through, the Son of war, shield and protection, fresh wine, and the spirit of favor. When we praise despite our circumstances, God will show up and show off!
We decree and declare that we are children of the King. Every promise of God is Yes and Amen! We will walk in everything that God has provided for us.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS I AM!

I AM REDEEMED! The precious blood of Jesus Christ redeems me. My sins are removed from me as far as the East is from the West. I will walk in the passion of my “first love” with Him. Jesus Christ has fulfilled the name of Jehovah-tsidkenu: the LORD my RIGHTEOUSNESS.
2 Corinthians 5:21, NKJV – “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
1 Peter 1:18-19, NKJV – “Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, (v19) but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”
I AM SANCTIFIED! I am sanctified – set apart and made holy – through the offering Jesus made with His own body. My thoughts, my actions, my speech, my appetites, and my desires are no longer governed by sin or the influences of this world. I dedicate all my faculties to be reserved for God and His unlimited use. I will not look upon evil. I will not touch evil. I will do no evil. I will bask in the purposes that God has set apart for me. Jesus has fulfilled the name of Jehovah-m’kadesh: the LORD my SANCTIFIER. My heart will be for Him alone.
Hebrews 10:10, NKJV – “By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.”
Leviticus 20:7-8, NKJV – “Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy, for I am the LORD your God. (v8) And you shall keep My statutes, and perform them: I am the LORD who sanctifies you.”
1 Peter 1:13-16, NKJV – “Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; (v14) as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; (v15) but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, (v16) because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy’.”
I AM AN OVERWHELMING SUCCESS! Today, I am an overwhelming success. God provides all of my needs and, as I am in hot pursuit of Him and His Kingdom’s purposes, He fulfills all my heart’s desires. Jesus supplies all the money I need. Jesus supplies all the wisdom and knowledge I need. Jesus supplies all the health and strength I need. Jesus supplies all the people of influence, ability, and wealth I need to assist me in fulfilling my destiny for TODAY! This day God will move me exponentially closer to fulfilling my life’s purposes and His overall plan for me. My seed (my family members) will experience the overflow of this effect upon their lives. Jesus reveals Himself to me as Jehovah-jireh: the LORD my PROVIDER.
Psalms 37:4-5, NKJV – “Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart. (v5) Commit your way to the LORD, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”
Psalms 103:3-5, NKJV – “Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, (v4) Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, (v5) Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.”
Nehemiah 8:10, NKJV – “Then he said to them, ‘Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the LORD is your strength’.”
Deuteronomy 28:11, NKJV – “And the LORD will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you.”

Genesis 22:14, NKJV – “And Abraham called the name of the place, The-LORD-Will-Provide; as it is said to this day, ‘In the Mount of the LORD it shall be provided’.”
I AM ABOUNDING IN RELATIONSHIPS! Today, I will pursue excellence in my relationships. I will be the best husband / wife I can be (apply these to your position). I will be the best dad / mom I can be. I will be the best child I can be. I will be the best employee I can be. I will be the best employer I can be. As I walk in these relationships and do everything with all my heart I will receive a reward from God and also receive divine ability to walk in God’s armor and squelch any demonic attack against my life and my family. Jesus has revealed Himself as Jehovah-shalom: the LORD my PEACE Who brings harmony, healing, and prosperity in and through my relationships.
Colossiansl 3:17-25, NKJV – “And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (v18) Wives, submit to your own husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. (v19) Husbands, love your wives and do not be bitter toward them. (v20) Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing to the Lord. (v21) Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged. I AM AN INFLUENCER! Today, I will greatly influence people. I will touch, shape, mentor, and transform lives because of the Holy Spirit Who lives within me. I will make and write new history. People are the greatest commodity I will face today. I will demonstrate the passion of Christ to everyone I come into contact with. I will approach people with confidence and boldness knowing that my Master has assigned me to them. I will meet no person by accident today. I will speak to no person by coincidence today. Every friend and every new acquaintance will be by divine design. People are my Father’s treasure and my Lord Jesus Christ’s chosen inheritance. I am a fisher of men. I will share the passion of Christ with people today.

I AM A WORSHIPPER! Today, I will worship my God with all that is within me. I will seek and find His face in worship, His heart in His Word, and His passion in prayer. I will ingest His Word through study and devotion. The Holy Spirit will digest that Word inside of me and I will run the race of faith derived from its spiritual nutrients. I will be changed. I will be more like Christ and less like me. I will enjoy His presence, His control, His guidance, and His influence in and through my life today.

I AM AN OVERCOMER! Today, no weapon formed against me will prosper. Any demonic influence that comes against me, my family, my ministry, or my friends will experience the power of the Holy Spirit unleashed in all its fury. I will not be hindered, thwarted, or denied by any diabolical scheme. There is a resident anointing of the Holy Spirit inside of me that totally annihilates anything fashioned by the dark side. I am a deputized enforcer of God’s Word! Jesus has revealed Himself to me as Jehovah-nissi: the LORD my BANNER and my VICTORY.

Isaiah 54:17, NKJV – “’No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me’,” Says the LORD.”
1 John 2:20, NKJV – “But you have an anointing from the Holy one, and you know all things.”
1 John 2:27, NKJV – “But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him.”
