Today is on the calendar at CWOC as being “Pastor Appreciation Sunday.” I don’t know what all is on the agenda for the corporate gathering, but I’m sure it will be great. I have pondered “what” to write in this article for today. If humility is one of our core values then can I write about “myself”? I’m sitting here chuckling at my keyboard thinking about that for a moment. No. I’m not going that route. However, I do have two other things I’d like to mention in this article.
First, Crossroads World Outreach Center is tremendously BLESSED to have a staff of pastors who really care about every “sheep” (person) that God has brought to CWOC. Pastor Kim is one of the most “mothering” people you will ever meet. She compassionately and patiently loves people. Pastor Jesse…well, I believe he has been lovingly nurturing sheep since before I drew my first breath. Pastor Deb—she’s like Pastor Kim—she, too, will mother everyone around that needs some love and nurturing. Pastor Betty—now there is a case study for ministry for you. She’s like a Holy Spirit-filled Tasmanian Devil off Bug’s Bunny, because she’s all over the place, in overdrive, and helping meet the needs of so many. And, there is Pastor Traye fitting in nicely with our Youth Ministry. He and I have been plotting some grand ideas for our youth. These are all dynamic folks who have you, the sheep of CWOC, in their hearts.
Second, there is a “flip” side to Pastor Appreciation. It can be read differently as from YOU appreciating ME. It can be read as the PASTOR having APPRECIATION. And, believe you me, beloved friends, THAT I do have. I appreciate everyone who is a covenanted part of CWOC. You have avowed yourselves of your energy, time, and resources to help further the cause of Jesus Christ through the vision of CWOC. And, for that, I am deeply grateful. I appreciate YOU!
THANK YOU for all that you do and all that you are going to do as we move CWOC from good to GREAT (g2G).

Have a great day pastor Tim. We talked about you in service today, as I reminded our people of your schedule. Thank you for you ear this week and the spirit in which you listened as I processed through my decision. It was and is a blessing to have a ear with somone like yourself. I am excited about the days ahead for each of us as we streatch, and grow in the Lord. Keep up the great work and as always we honor, respect and love you and your family.
