Disaster Relief Personal Care Kits
Project for Columbia District WMs
The Care Kits are to be turned in by Columbia District Churches at the August 7 District Women’s Ministries Meeting to be held here at CWOC. CWOC ladies are responsible for putting together 10 Care Kits. Please help by completing one Care Kit or supplying selected items which can be used to complete the Care Kits. Place your completed kits or care kit items in the box which will be placed in the foyer. The deadline for turning in items for the Disaster Relief Kits is Wednesday, August 5. Thanks for your help in providing support for Disaster Relief Victims. Please see WM Director Laura Blevins if you have questions. A list of items needed for PerCaKits was included as an insert in last week’s bulletin. You may pick up additional copies of the list from the information center.
Confessions Booklets
These are available from the information center. The cost is $3.00. You may turn the money in with tithes and offerings earmarked for “Confessions Booklet.”
Columbia District Women’s and Young Women’s Meeting
All women and young women (ages 16 and up), please mark your calendars now and plan to be a part of the Columbia District Women’s and Young Women’s Meeting which will be held at CWOC’s activity center on Friday, August 7, from 6:30 PM until 9:00 PM. Refreshments will be served and Door Prizes will be given.
Prayer Request
The Edmund Express Basketball Team and Leaders request your prayers as they participate in the AAU National Basketball Competition. They will be leaving for the competition on July 27, 2009, and returning on August 2.

You may purchase 3-CD sets of the “Get Over It!” series for a donation of $10.00 and 7-CD sets of the “Core Values” series for a donation of $20.00. These series’ would make a wonderful addition to your library and would be a blessing to anyone who listens to the messages in the series’.
Birthday Party for Pastor Tim
Sunday, August 2
We will celebrate Pastor Tim’s birthday with him on Sunday, August 2. Pastor Kenneth Blease will be the worship service speaker on Pastor Tim’s birthday. Please bring sides and desserts for the Birthday Celebration following the morning worship service. The church will provide the meats.
There will be no Sunday School on August 2.
“Connections 101” Classes
Pastor Tim teaches the five-week “Connections 101” Class in the conference room during Sunday School. It is a requirement for anyone desiring membership at CWOC. The current class, which begins tonight, is already full; but you may sign up on the sheet at the information desk for the next class which will begin September 13. “Connections 101” is geared towards those seeking church membership, but is open to anyone interested in attending.
